Meet Our Team: Christine Green
Ideal Shopping Direct is celebrating over 20 years of business this year, and as such we want to celebrate the people who have made that possible. Therefore, we would like to put spotlight onto some of our amazing teammates and this month we would like to introduce Christine Green, I-Hub's Office Manager.
1.) When did you first join Ideal Shopping Direct and how did you end up here?
I started originally working for Craft Channel Productions Ltd 10 years ago- initially doing some invoicing then picking up Customer Service.
2.) Can you explain a little about what your role entails?
At I- Hub I look after any local HR and Health and Safety issues, I also managing a small team responsible for I-cards, samples products and storage of sales tools.
3.)What’s the best thing about your role?
Definitely the wide bunch of people that I work with, the majority of us have worked here for quite a few years and we have had some challenges over the years.
4.) If you could give one piece of advice to someone else in your role, what would it be?
My team will laugh if they read this, but try not to panic when things are changing – slow down, think, then react.
5.)How do you like to spend your time outside of work?
Exercising or walking the family dog Beau – we gave her forever home in January and she has been a great distraction in current times.
6.) Tell us something about yourself that might surprise us!
I quite like to be scared when I go on holiday – zip wires, white water rafting etc.
