Create and Craft celebrates Pride Month with new Love is Love LGBTQ+ range
A share of proceeds from the collection will be donated to The Kite Trust
In honour of Pride Month June 2021, retailer Create and Craft is launching a new Love is Love crafting collection to celebrate and give back to the LGBTQ+ community.
Launching on 28th June exclusively on Create and Craft, the 13-piece collection from Tattered Lace pays homage to individuality and celebrates inclusivity. £1,500 worth of proceeds from the collection will be donated to local Peterborough charity, The Kite Trust to help support the wellbeing and creativity of young LGBTQ+ people in the area.
In this fun collection, Tattered Lace has brought together symbolic designs to the LGBTQ+ and coupled them with the classic style the brand is known and loved by customers for. It is comprised of 11 metal die sets with celebratory symbols including balloons, bunting and rainbows, an A5 stamp set with lettering statements and printed rainbow papers. All the dies have charisma artwork available in a diverse range of skin tones and genders that can be downloaded from the Create and Craft website.
The inspiration from the range came from Create and Craft Planning Manager, Stephen Saunders. He comments: “Lots of people in the LGBTQ+ community really enjoy crafting but I noticed that the product selection is limited and in particular, there isn’t enough that represents non-binary and bisexuals. I wanted to develop a range that would include all members, so I discussed my ideas with the team and everyone was so enthusiastic. After I developed an initial mood board, they took on my excitement and passion and ran with it to develop this brilliant collection. I’m now so thrilled that a product range for a community I’m passionate about is coming to life during Pride Month.”
Frances Busby, Managing Director, Create and Craft said: “We’re delighted to be honouring Pride Month by launching this collection and we feel the stamps and dies are the ideal way for crafters to get creative and show their support for the LGBTQ+ community. The range was inspired by members of the team and customer feedback to have a collection of dies that can be used to celebrate the diversity in our communities all year round and delight recipients on any occasion. And with a portion of proceeds being donated to the Kite Trust, crafters will also be giving back and helping with the charity’s vital work of building inclusive communities that tackle inequalities.”
